Adobe Illustrator iPad Tracing

Image
For this project I worked in a group. We took a picture of one of our group members and opened adobe illustrator on the iPad. From there we uploaded the picture and turned the opacity down so we could trace over it and see what we were doing. We used the pen took to trace with a stylus. Each of us traced different elements of the face and worked on the background. This is how it turned out.

MakeQuest Game

Below is a link to my version of the MakeQuest game. I changed the background, character, and goal to a space theme (space, astronaut, and alien) to create a story. The storyline is you're the astronaut trying to capture the Evil Alien to protect the rest of the galaxies. I changed the platform colors to magenta and orange since those show up the best. I changed the direction of each moving platform and speed, then got rid of some other platforms as well as creating a barrier to block the goal with one of the platforms.  http://mycode.carnegielearning.com/lvpkxqfh

Shapes and Tracing

Below are images of projects I completed on Adobe Illustrator from tutorials. In this I used the line tool, the shape builder tool, and learned how to create a vector graphic from a photo using the image trace tool.

Vecteezy Single Panel Cartoon

Image
Here is a basic single panel cartoon that I created on the Vecteezy Editor website. I wanted to add a little challenge so I created the dog myself of basic shapes such as circles and squares, then adjusted the shapes as needed. Next I used cat illustrations within the shapes panel and added a thicker boarder. I created the window with a simple square shapes as well. This website was a little harder to use because of the limitations the editor has and lack of tools. Overall I think it was a decent result by the end.  Below are a couple of cartoon panels that I enjoyed for inspiration as well.
