My Response to the Pittsburg Pirates Creative Team Interview
An interview was conducted through email by some students at Davis & Elkins College to learn a little bit about the Pittsburg Pirates Creative Department. In this interview, one of the most interesting responses to me was how they keep their content fresh and entertaining for their audience. The response talked about how they keep up with other new designs on sites such as "designspiration.net or dribble.com" to keep their inspirations high and enhance their creative flow. I think it's smart to observe what other creators are doing if you're in a mental block with ideas and inspiration.
Another response that I though was interesting is how many jobs are done within the Pirates' Creative Department. They have a wide variety of products they design and create that stretch from prints all the way across the spectrum to motion graphics. Lastly, one of the most interesting, but also useful, responses was about the interview process with the Pittsburg Pirates Creative Team. I find it always helpful to read or hear about how interview processes go because any type of knowledge helps for future interviews. What was interesting was that this person had to go through multiple interviews with different departments until they were finally offered the job. So it's good to know what to expect even if it is a long process.
I've given thought about my future career plans since they're not far away and I would like to do something along the lines of this creative work. I think being part of a creative team would be a good balance of art and work for me, and would offer a steady career.
